Should i be worried that my 1996 Camry is Burning Oil?
In California, a Fast-Charging First
A Los Angeles-based firm claims to have installed California’s first public fast-charging station, which opened for business last week. The unit, which can recharge the battery pack of a Nissan Leaf in about 30 minutes, is located at the Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto, adjacent to Stanford University and about 30 miles south of San Francisco.
Should I replace my 1977 mgb for a 1999 Porsche boxster I like them both I have the mgb for 3 year.thanks?
Comparing the 2 cars is like comparing chalk and cheese. The basic MGB has been around since the mid-60's and it's technology reflects it. Our American EPA safety and emissions laws choked and completely transformed this car from what it originally was.
If you decide to move forward with the Porsche, be CERTAIN to have it thoroughly checked out and assessed by a reputable Porsche (only) mechanic. To the uninitiated and uninformed, these cars can be real money pits.

What prevents a Nissan Note from starting properly (60 plate)?
At present it's done 34,000 miles and had 3 services and only the other week new tyres.
Anyway I came to start it today after leaving my mum to do some shopping. We parked it on a hill where we normally park it.
I went into town and came back early. Whilst waiting for my mum to finish shopping I plugged my phone into the car stereo with some music and left it on for about half an hour.
Surely a car stereo (it's one with a built in sat nav) being left on for half an hour isn't enough to flatten the battery or anything is it (I had nothing else on like air con or anything), plus when trying to start it all the lights came on and the engine attempted to fire so surely if the battery was flat it wouldn't do this would it?
I tried it first and I was quite shocked when I turned the plastic key thing (it's one of the keyless starter motor things) and as I turned all I got was like the normal "rev, rev, rev, rev" from the engine as you turn the key, but then nothing, the engine just didn't spring to life or anything.
I tried it numerous times and even tried holding the key to the start position and all I kept getting was loads of rev-rev-rev noises, but no actual engine starting.
I give up and rung a few people including my dad, my dad suggested it may be flooded and to give it 5 minutes. I did and still it was dead.
Just before I was about to call the RAC out I thought I'll give it one last chance, and this time I'll try it with the emergency folding key (it's keyless but it does have an emergency key just in case the battery in the key fob goes flat), and it started straight away. I then turned it off and removed the emergency key and tried again with the keyless ignition system and again it was fine.
Does anyone have any clue what could have caused the vehicle to refuse to start? Is it serious, and does anyone think it could happen again. Should I take it to Nissan and get them to check it out (I don't really want to if I don't have to as our nearest Nissan garage is about 30 miles away and I have no reason to drive over there till at least next week, but will be using the car numerous times before then)
It was only serviced about a month ago, and had it's tyres changed the other week, and also I only filled up with petrol last night so it still had over three quarters of a tank left, was it due to it being left pointing downhill or something, I've left it pointing downhill numerous times before and never had this problem.
We have noticed sometimes on wet mornings the engine does sound pretty awful when we first start it, but that has been like that since we got the vehicle, and this morning it had been raining. The vehicle is a Nissan Note 1.6 Petrol Automatic, 60 plate (October 2010).
