Is my 1995 ford thunderbird done for?

my car broke down not to long ago and people are telling me its the starter, some are saying my engine is seized. I was driving on the freeway and then the engine starts making a really loud noise and gradually starts slowing down then the engine dies all together. I checked the oil and there was very little to no oil. The area that holds the coolant was boiling hot and steaming as well. Anytime I attempted to start it all it would do is make a single click. Then nothing. Any advice would much appreciated.

  1. You don't need a code scanner for that one, no oil..no water…the engine is blown, seized, whatever you want to call it..

  2. Yes your motor is done for ! Alot of people love their Thunderbirds & just go down to a salvage yard & pick up a used engine for it for around $350-$600 & have someone put it in for around~$1500 cheaper than a down payment on another car. And if you and a friend rent a motor hoist & do it yourselves, it gets even cheaper.

  3. Sorry, sounds like the engine is fried. But, if the body & interior are nice, you can get a re-manufactured short block for like 600~800 bucks.

  4. I would go tithe autopsrtx store and pick up a code reader you van get one for under a hundred dollars my mom gave me one for my 94 mercury and it has been a big money saver because I can diagnose most problems myself I would say it has something to do with the engine
