  1. if you drive below boost then you will save gas if you have a heavy foot then your gonna waste alot of gas. but thats the fun part lol. turbocharged cars can get very good gas millage if you drive below boost.

  2. That all depends on how many miles are driven each month. It also depends on the way you drive as being more "aggressive" will affect MPG.

  3. I used to own a 2004 GTI with the 1.8T, on the highways i managed to get around 35-39 mpg when i wasn't hammer down on the throttle.

    City was about 29-32 depending on how traffic was moving.

    Would be the best place to go, as it is research i assume you will need sources, and i think a government website will be more credible than a VW Mechanic/enthusiast.

    I averaged 38 MPG in my GTI though, so beetle would average about the same.
