I drove up to campus the last Tuesday, and then when I went to leave that afternoon it wouldn't start, the lights in the instrument panel wouldn't turn on either, the stereo didn't turn on, the only sign of life was the beeping when I put the key in the ignition. I went back that night to tow it home, and when I tried to turn the head lights and emergency flashers on, there was a grinding/buzzing noise from underneath the instrument panel. Any ideas on why it wouldn't start? I replaced the starter motor around a year ago, and a previous owner of the car had installed a prolock auto security system, which has given me slight problems before, but nothing this big. Could that be causing the problem?

You need a new battery the grinding noise in the dash was the starter relay trying to close and send power to the starter but because the battery is dead it can't.
The beeper will work on 5v but the car wont.
Nope you have a dead battery or bad battery, go buy a new one install it and I bet you will be good to go again.
I would first disconnect the battery clamps and clean the inside of the clamps and the battery terminals, use sandpaper, a wire brush, a file, or anything abrasive. Always disconnect the positive clamp first and .reconnect the negative clamp first, If cleaning fails you might need a new Battery or the alternator could be bad.
Go get new battery put it in. You need to geterdun!

If you have a multimeter,check battery voltage,if it's more than 12 volts,your battery is ok.Next thing to check is fuses,always start with basic inspection.And if you going to disconnect the battery,disconnect NEGATIVE side FIRST and then the POSITIVE side,to reconnect the cables go POSITIVE side FIRST and then the NEGATIVE side.
